ARLINGTON, Texas, EE.UU. (AP) — MacKenzie Gore delivered a three-run homer in his longest opening start yet as the Texas Rangers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-4 on Tuesday, highlighted by home runs from Joc Pederson and Ezequiel Durán.

Gore went 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs, tying a major league record for most plate appearances in a game by a Texas player. He opened with a solo shot in the third inning, matching his career MLB high in pitches thrown at 95. The Rangers' defense contributed, with Brandon Nimmo's error leading to a run after touching first base. Pederson's homer off Zac Gallen in the second, followed by Durán's RBI single in the fourth, sealed the win. The Rangers' bullpen held strong, allowing just two runs in seven innings pitched.
