Orioles Reliever Placed on Injured List, Pitcher Recalled
BALTIMORE (AP) — The Baltimore Orioles announced Tuesday that reliever Grant Wolfram has been placed on the 15-day injured list due to a lower back strain, while pitcher Tyler Wells was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk.
Wolfram, who has a 4.85 ERA across 16 games, stands at 1-1 with 20 strikeouts and only one walk in 13 innings. His most recent outing occurred on May 6, with the IL designation backdating to Saturday.
Wells, currently 0-1 with a 3.44 ERA in 14 games, had been optioned to Norfolk earlier this month on May 2.
