WILLEMSTAD, Curaçao (AP) — Dutch legend Dick Advocaat is making a dramatic comeback to lead Curaçao into the World Cup, aiming to become the oldest coach ever in the tournament’s 96-year history.
At 78, Advocaat returns just three months after stepping down due to personal reasons, signaling a thrilling chapter for the small island nation.
"Discussions with the federation are ongoing," officials noted, emphasizing stability and continuity for the team.
