Atlanta Braves Triumph Over Chicago Cubs with Five-Run Victory

ATLANTA (AP) — Grant Holmes joins three relievers to allow just one run as Austin Riley and Mike Yastrzemski combined for dual homers, sealing a 5-2 victory for Atlanta over Chicago.

Holmes, who hadn’t pitched since May 1, recorded three scoreless innings while issuing four walks and striking out five batters across 78 pitches.

Raisel Iglesias added a ninth-inning save by retiring batters in order, maintaining his season-long streak of zero runs allowed over 11⅔ innings.

Yastrzemski contributed two RBIs including a two-run home run in the fifth that settled the game at 2-2 before the decisive rally.

Riley’s solo shot to left field in the early part of the inning tied the score at 2-2 before the Braves broke it open.
