TORONTO (AP) — Taylor Walls led the Rays to victory with a walk-off single in the 10th inning and then scored the go-ahead run with Jonathan Aranda's sacrifice fly, securing Tampa Bay's 16th win in 18 games.
Walls advanced the runner on second base with a hit that moved a runner ahead of Braydon Fisher (2-1) to make it 6-5. Aranda's fly to center field gave the Rays a two-run lead that held after Vladimir Guerrero Jr. connected a sacrifice fly against Garrett Cleavinger, who recorded his first save. Ian Seymour (2-0) earned the win with four outs. The Dominican rookie Jesus Sanchez substituted for Casey Legumina with a two-run double, and George Springer followed with a single before Yohendrick Piñango added a two-run double. Kevin Kelly entered to face Guerrero, whose ground ball into shortstop Junior Caminero's glove bounced to allow the runner to score the tying run. <__> AP Sports: [SITEURL]/hub/deportes
