PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Pirates moved catcher Joey Bart to the 10-day injured list due to a left foot infection.

Bart currently maintains a .259 batting average with two home runs and nine RBIs while sharing catching duties with Henry Davis.

The team promoted catcher/designated hitter Endy Rodriguez from Triple-A Indianapolis to replace Bart on the roster. At the time of his promotion, Rodriguez was hitting .221 with one home run and 16 RBIs.

Once seen as Pittsburgh's likely everyday catcher, Rodriguez has struggled to find consistent performance over the past two-plus years following elbow surgeries in late 2026 and earlier this year.

In related moves, the Pirates also promoted Australian reliever Brandan Bidois from Triple-A and sent reliever Cam Sanders back to the minor leagues.
